from 258 reviews1 button loose in package and broken on delivery, new delivered without hesitation. Thanks. My son seems very pleased with the product.
Premium custom leverless controller. Great professional communication throughout the build. 100% satisfied. I’m able to switch out the switches easily but ended up using the switches I originally ordered.
Owner put a lot of care into the customization and art
Love the layout and how solid the build is. I switched to wind engine switches and it feels like a dream. The only feedback I have to offer is more switch options would be a nice addition. If you're looking for a leverless controller, you need to give Mavercade a hard look
Wonderful high quality controller, the optionally changeable top plate is so high quality. It's a heavy controller with nice weight, the shipping package is phenomenal, the controller is double packaged and secured, high quality additional cable (Braided angled USB C cable, in a very nice black). Especially since I ordered from Europe, the care of shipping is great.
To prohibit the additionally bought Acrylic plate to smudge or anything, it is shipped with foil on it.
I was a big fan of the Controller design for multiple reasons, the pill shaped buttons, that allow my big hands to actually use both thumb buttons. Additional pinky buttons, two thumb buttons on each side. And a comfy split layout. Something I couldn't find. Additionally, Will (the creator) was an absolute legend on Twitter dealing with my many many curiosities and questions. I would buy from him again in a heartbeat.
For more opinions about the controller itself: very neatly stacked acrylic plates, carefully designed and worked with, wonderfully responsive, and working as intended. It has some quality of life switches on the top side for different socd or analog stick modi, all of them working perfectly.
It also has a very nice anti slip foam pad at the bottom.
My only tiny bitty improvement would be the screws, that are Phillips screws, and lose some color, going from black to silver with time, which looks a little bit out of place, BUT, they are not uncomfortable or feel able in any way, and you only see it if you know it, and I think the way the controller is constructed, an alternative way of screwing is not really possible.
Amazing, came earlier than I anticipated and worked out of the package. Speaking of the package, it was packaged really well, so when I received the product, it was in perfect condition.
Excellent controller. The layout is perfect. Love that it's a hot-swappable and mx style, and the nylon keycaps feel and sound amazing on the HMX switches I'm using. Maker was super-responsive in answering any questions.
Well constructed, it just feels nice to play. On top of that, communication was A+ and packaging was excellent. Thank you for the great product!
one of the best leverless controller i ever used. it feels really high quality and has a nice button press feeling. its layout is also a bit more ergonomic than others and that fits my wrist well. i have 9 other leverless controllers and for now this feels best in terms of what i just described. i would really recommend this one. good job !
This thing is amazing! The button placement allows for so much comfort and access to advanced techniques alike. If you have the scratch, I would definitely recommend these bad boys.
As soon as you place your fingers on this thing, it will become immediately apparent that the design of every other leverless you've used was subpar and un-egronomic.
I love this thing, I have the metal plate version and the size and weight is just perfect for me on my lap.
Worth every penny.
New to the FGC and jumped in pretty heavy. Coming from keyboard, levelerless made the most sense and this layout spoke to me. I love the size of the main buttons, the larger button replacing 7/8 has been great. Build feels very premium, good weight, nice foam pad, no creaking in the body at all. USB cable is premium and very secure. If you're thinking of spending 150+ dollars on an amazon/aliexpress leverless that creaks and disconnects, I would strongly consider this instead!
I was largely interested in leverless because accidentally jumping while using pad was getting very annoying the better I got at fighting games, because I had tried stick in the past and not really cared for the joystick but found hitting the buttons fun, and just for the novelty of a new controller. This particular controller interested me because I couldn't imagine playing SF6 on leverless without extra buttons in better locations than standard L1/L2 for DI/Parry, and I liked the idea of a split layout. The size and placements of the buttons honestly blew me away and the controller is way more comfortable than I assumed it would be. Configuring the controller was less intimidating than I thought it would be and allowed me to reach a really comfy set up where I remapped the left side up button, which is obviously in a nice spot ergonomically, to L2. With the left side pinky button being my L1, there is very little movement necessary with my hands it's really just my right hand fingers needing to hit the main 6 buttons over there. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase and that as a bonus I could support a fellow Canadian as well.
Sometimes you want random things that are so niche that it can’t possibly exist unless you make it from scratch yourself. I always wanted,
1) Flat’ish style box that uses full profile switches
2) Had enough room for a palm rest
3) Had keys that were spaced out so hands could be comfortably separated
4) Used keyboard keys for directions
5) Had smaller arcade style buttons (not the typical 30mm, 24mm)
I always found some that fit 2 out of 5, sometimes 3 out of 5 but never all 5… till I one day stumbled upon a YouTube video doing a breakdown review and linking me to Mavercade site. To the YouTube reviewer and Mavercade, thank you both. Met all my expectations exactly!
PS. Even made me a retro SF2 WW custom print to fit under the plexi.
The Mavercade KeebBrawler-02MX was exactly what I was looking for! Coming from prominently mouse and keyboard gaming, this made learning fighting games more familiar.
